Michelle & Maya will be shown from Saturday, May 29, 2021 through Saturday, July 24, 2021 at the Creative Craft Council’s 2021 Biennial at Strathmore Mansion.
The Mansion is located at 10701 Rockville Pike, Rockville, MD 20852, close to the Grosvenor Metro Station. Visit the exhibition starting on Saturday May 29, 2021 during regular Mansion hours of operation.
Commissioned by a private collector in early 2020, work on the piece slowed dramatically because of the pandemic. After over a year of work, I am happy to report that Dolly is hung and happy in her new home!
Before her move, she underwent some last-minute primping for her photo shoot (check out the detail shots), and then she was packed up and loaded into the car. Installation was quick and easy thanks to some picture rails in the apartment.
She fits in so well, and I couldn’t happier.
